They say you should never talk about religion and politics in polite company — so today we're tackling both at the exact same time! As the dust settles on midterm elections (and we finally stop reporting political texts as spam), how should Christians navigate our relationship with earthly governments without losing our minds or our unity? Why did Jeremiah tell the Israelites to unpack their boxes, plant gardens, and actively pray for the shalom of a pagan empire that conquered them? What's the right move when someone goes "bull in a china shop" inside the church group chat, or when your favorite candidate loses and everything feels doom and gloom? And how do we avoid the traps of Zealot-style activism and total withdrawal to live as faithful ambassadors of King Jesus? Join us for some Monday Morning Quarterback as we talk about ordering our loves, seeking the welfare of our neighborhoods (even our HOAs!), and remembering where our true citizenship lies!
